Letter Form Appraisal Reports

It is often possible to appraise a smaller, less-complex business and to provide a report sufficient for decision-making without all of the detailed explanation and background reporting inherent in the form of a full appraisal report. The same research and analysis is performed, but the problems being analyzed are often far less complex. The report form contains all critical information underlying the appraisal conclusions, but generally omits detailed discussion of background business information, industry structure, and economic conditions. This report form is the one generally used when appraising small businesses in an equitable distribution context and in reporting on the appraisal of non-complex family limited partnerships and charitable contributions. Our letter form appraisal reports can be either Appraisals or Limited Appraisals pursuant to the requirements of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Generally around 25 pages long, letter-form appraisals typically cost between $4,000 and $10,000, exclusive of litigation support.
